====== Installing the Game ======
===== Windows =====
The first thing you need to have installed (often you already have them installed from other applications) are the following components:

There are 2 versions of the game that can be installed: the installer file (**recommended**) or the portable.

==== Installation ====

  - Run the installer file
  - Select the English language
  - Follow the instructions in the installer
  - You now have the application ''SimtSimulator.exe'' on your desktop and in the Start menu to run

==== Portable ====

  - Extract the downloaded file to any folder where you want to keep it
    * You can use the built-in Windows tool to extract (double click on the file and drag), [[https://7-zip. org/download.html|7zip]], [[https://www.win-rar.com/start.html|WinRar]], or other tool
  - Navigate to the extracted folder
  - You can then run the game via ''SimtSimulator.exe'' (64-bit systems) or ''SimtSimulator32bit.exe'' (32-bit systems)

===== Linux =====

===== "Windows has protected your computer" =====
Since the application lacks a digital signature, Windows considers it unknown. This doesn't mean the app is malicious, just that Windows doesn't know it.

Solution:
